Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to the Halloween Theme Stamp It Group Blog Hop!!! I took the mummy from the Cookie Cutter Halloween and made Get Well card... isn't it the cutest??

I love the Cookie Cutter series, both Halloween and especially the Christmas set.  The Cookie Cutter Builder Punch makes cutting out the super-cute shapes so easy!!

I love the colors of this card, and it would be perfect as a masculine card, you know, those cards that we all have problems making???

I also love that you can color the Whisper White Organza Ribbon using the Stampin' daubers to make any color ribbon you need for you project... the choices are endless!!

I hope you liked my take on the Halloween Theme Blog Hop and weren't too disappointed that it wasn't a Halloween card.

I want to thank you for stopping by. Make sure you click on the other bloggers participating in this blog hop to show them some love too.

You're in my Thoughts

I have three memorial services to attend in the next two weeks between mine and my husbands families. With my social anxiety, that makes these things much more difficult than they already are. No one likes to lose a loved-one, yet we all know that it will happen. We are never really ready. We ask ourselves, "what should I say? What should I do? Do I really have to go? Will they know I'm not there if I don't attend?"
Family is the most important asset you have, and whether you are close with your family, or a million miles away, reach out to them, send them a card, even if it's just to say "Hi, how are you doing?" It can be a gesture that can last a lifetime.

This card is a symbol to those that need an encouraging word, just to know you are there. A card can be a virtual hug to someone who needs one. It can put a smile on the face of the person receiving it, but also the person sending it.

I love this card. I love the way the fall colors explode off of the leaves. The way they sit on the Woodlands Textured Embossing Folder makes for a perfect setting. It says all you need to say.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. Leave a comment, even if it's just to say Hi!

Have a great day, and Happy Stampin!

I Miss You... That's All

I'm always looking for that simple yet satisfying card for an occasion, whether Birthday, Anniversary, Just Because or like this card, I Miss You. I try to get ahead in my stash of cards, but that's easier said than done. You either run out of time, or space (like many stampers do) or ideas.

I came found the idea for this card on... yes... Pinterest. I may be an Pin-addict, but until it is illegal, I'm ok with it.

Using a mask made out of a post-it-note to block off the middle of the paper to place the sentiment. Then, using the Sheltering Tree bunch of leaves and a few ink pads of any colors you choose, you can make your own background. The color combinations are endless. Just make sure you stamp the lightest color first, then lightest to darkest. This seems to work out the best, and it blends the colors beautifully. The sentiment is from the Gift of Love Hostess Stamp Set. Want to be a hostess and earn free stamps? Email me and we will set up a date for a card party at your house. Or, place an order in my store for $150 or more, and you'll earn Stampin' Rewards to redeem for free merchandise.

So thank you to Tracy Bradley at http://stampingwithtracy.com/hello-4/ for the inspiration for this card.

As usual, thank you for taking time to read my blog. Leave a comment if you like my card or just want to say HI!

Have a great day, and Happy Stampin!
