Beautiful Friendship - Card Challenge #1

Hello stampers and crafters!

First I'd like to say I hope everyone is handling the COVID-19 Coronavirus social distancing. I know it's hard, but the sooner we all follow the guidelines, the sooner we can resume our normal lives.

It's been a while since I've written a blog post. I have created a card challenge for my card class to give them something fun to do while we can't have a class. So I thought I'd post some cards I designed with the first theme: black, white and one other color.

I have designed these to show a basic card, and then a couple of stepped up cards as well.

These cards all use Whisper White and Basic Black, with Rich Razzleberry as my other color.

TIP: You can use any color Stampin Blends to color your bling to match your theme. Try it out!

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy at this very difficult time.

Thank you for stopping by to see my cards. Please leave me a comment below to let me know how your doing, or just to say Hi!

Have a great day, and Happy Stampin!

July Stamp It Blog Hop - New Catalog Theme

Welcome to Stamp It Group New Catalog Ideas Theme Blog Hop. We are all using current Stampin’ Up! Products. I’m Kathi Desmarais from Massachusetts and welcome to my blog Black Kat Stamp Designs. At the bottom of my post, you will find a list of all the participating blog hoppers so you can move along from blog to blog and see all the fantastic projects. You are invited to leave a comment on each blog with the hashtag #stampitcontest to be entered to win the Soft Sayings Card Kit.

My Card:

I am having a loving relationship with sparkle lately, which surprised my nail girl at the salon and she was quite pleased. That may explain why I am in love with the new Shimmer White and Shimmer Black embossing powders. These flowers are very easy to create using the flower stamp from the Floral Essence stamp set. Just stamp on vellum, emboss with the Shimmer White embossing powder, heat set with the heat tool then punch out using the Perennial Flower punch. Use Stampin' Blends to color the back side of the design. I think it looks like stained glass.

I am also loving all of the stitched shapes that Stampin' Up! has released, including the Stitched Rectangles. They make layering much easier and I love the detail of the finished look. The sentiments I chose are from the Here's a Card stamp set.

I finished off the card with some Whisper White Flax Ribbon and Happiness Blooms Dots.

I hope you like my card. Please be sure to leave a comment on each blog with the hashtag  #stampitcontest to be entered to win the Soft Sayings Card Kit.
