If Life Gives You Lemons

Things happen... life happens... only you can control how you handle the outcome, and how much sugar you need in the lemonade (HAHAHA!). But receiving a card from someone lets you know that you are not alone. This card does just that.

This card is easy to make with only a few supplies. Most of it uses up some of those pesky white scraps that you have laying around... you know who you are!!

I hope you like this card. Leave a comment below to let me know, or just to say "Hi!"

Thank you for taking the time and stopping by. Have a great day, and Happy Stampin!

Wishing You a Very Happy Birthday

I love having a bunch of cards already made on hand so if I need that last-minute birthday card for someone, I can just reach for one in my stash. This card is a great gender-neutral card that can be for anyone, and any age.

This card uses the Big on Birthdays stamp set, which is perfect for those quick cards that you may need. It's also a great resource to use up some extra designer paper if you choose to do so.

I hope you like this card. Please leave me a comment below to let me know, or just to say "Hi!"

Thinking of You - Dragonfly Blooms

Hello and welcome to my blog. Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit.
When I saw this technique I knew I just had to try it, and I'm so glad I did! This technique is called the Joseph's Technique, named after Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

As you can see from the colors of the dragonfly from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set, the look like the colors from Joseph's Dreamcoat.

To get the look, you would first blot ink onto Whisper White cardstock using a sponge.

You can use which ever colors you want, and you can fill the paper or leave some un-inked - the choices are endless and all yours to make.

Once you've inked the paper, use the heat tool to dry the ink. Then use your Embossing Buddy all over the paper. Stamp the dragonfly using Versamark, then heat to finish off the embossing.

Now for the magic... using the Sponge Brayer and the Basic Black Archival ink pad, cover the entire piece of paper with ink. Just keep inking the sponge then sponging the paper. It will eventually look like this.

Use a tissue to wipe any remaining ink from the embossed dragonflies. Remember to wash your hands when you are done to avoid any smudges when you assemble the card.

I hope you liked this card. Please leave a comment below to let me know, or just to say "Hi!".

Thanks again for stopping by. Have a great day, and Happy Stampin'!
