Today I am featuring a new stamp set and supplies that you will be able to get your hands on September 1st in the new Holiday catalog.

This is the Gourd Goodness stamp set with a bit of the Painted Autumn Designer Paper. Although it is a bit early here in Massachusetts to be thinking about autumn and sweater season, I just love these fall colors and they way everything looks together.

The way the pumpkin stamp gives the feel of a glare is actually designed into the two-step stamp in the set. Doesn't that just look awesome?

I used Versamark on Cajun Craze cardstock with the leaf stamp to make just a hint of leaves behind the pumpkin. I finished off my card with new Jute Twine that is also available in the new holiday catalog.

Thank you for hopping over and visiting my blog. Be sure to continue through all of the Team Stamp It blog posts to see what else we are showcasing today.

Whole Lot of Lovely Birthday

I have to thank Cheryll Miller at senseofwhimsy for the lesson on how to watercolor on vellum. This card was inspired by one of her cards on her blog, so Thank You!

I love how this card came together. There are a lot of steps to this card, but it really is an easy card to make. The first thing I did was throw down some messy patches on a piece of vellum that was just big enough to cut out the dragonflies.

Then I used a blender pen to color the patches, making sure I colored one color at a time so the colors didn't bleed together on the pen.

Then be sure to turn the vellum over and cut on the wrong side so the watercolor will be face down on the finished card. Then, once the card was completed, I finished off the dragonfly with Wink of Stella to add some glimmer to them.

I hope you like this card. Please leave me a comment below to let me know, or just to say "HI!"

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great day, and Happy Stampin!

Birthday Blossom Birthday

I always need a reason to use up some of the Designer Paper. I seem to buy a lot and never use it. It's so pretty I just want to hoard it. I'm not sure why that is.

I made these cards highlighting the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper, and I'm so glad I did. I think both of these cards are just so stunning. The flowers are from the Birthday Blossom stamp set and I've colored them in using a watercolor technique using a blender pen immediately after I stamp the image. I just love how the coloring turns out when I do this.

In case you haven't noticed, I'm also trying to get away from all of the purples and going outside my comfort zone and using different colors. I'm really happy I am, as there are SO many different colors, and they are all so great!

I hope you like my cards today. Please leave me a message below and let me know, or just to say "Hi!"

Thank you for stopping by. Happy a great day, and Happy Stampin!
