Christmas - Peace on Earth

This card is a great card to teach a class. It has just about every basic technique in the most simplest of ways  - Dry Embossing, Heat Embossing, Die-Cuts, stamping and embellishing.

This card was inspired... ok I totally CASE'd this one I found on Pinterest posted by Christine Miller. It is a great card to make during a Christmas Card Class, which I have going on right now. Merry Christmas Star

I think I'm loving the Star of Light and Starlight Thinlits this season. This is the second card I've made using that set this year, and I love both of them.

This set creates the perfect easy but elegant card, and you can use any color to create the look you want.

I chose Cherry Cobbler, Gold Glimmer paper and Gold Embossing powder to highlight this card, and I think it's my favorite so far.

I hope you like this card. Please leave me a comment below to let me know, or just to say Hi!

Christmas Blog Hop - Season's Greetings and Sparkle

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Welcome to what is probably my favorite blog hop, the Team Stamp It Christmas Blog Hop. My name is Kathi Desmarais and I am an Independent Demonstrator for Stampin' Up! Thank you for joining us today for what should be a very inspirational stampin' journey through the Team Stamp It Christmas Holiday blogs. To continue on your journey through our projects, simply use the BLOG HOPPERS links below.

Today I have two projects to show you, a card with a coordinating gift box.

I think this set is just super elegant and would be great for any hostess gift.

I love how the details of the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Paper shines in the light. And the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder makes such a pretty detailed snowflake on the gold foil sheets.

I've always had the impression that gold and silver don't go together... that you have to pick one or the other. I now no longer think that. As you can see in the details of the gift box.

This box is the prefect size for small candies or chocolates, or as I've done here, a votive candle.

The tag that I did for the box is removable so the recipient can keep the box and re-use the tag. I just used a removable glue dot on the back of the tag to adhere it to the ribbon tied around the box.

The band is removable as well and can be re-used.

As I said before, I think the box would make a great hostess gift, but also a teachers' or co-workers' gift, or can also be made for any holiday craft fair.

Thank you again for taking this journey through our blog hop. Congratulations to Lucy Schmidt, the winner of the October giveaway.
